How this affects a run
Cosmog is an evolution investment with a 200 base-stat total, not a finished Legendary attacker. Its first evolution uses friendship: level up with at least 43 friendship to reach Cosmoem. The next step is an item choice at level 13 or above, with the Sun Flute leading to Solgaleo and the Moon Flute to Lunala.
This path matters beyond Cosmog itself. Solgaleo and Lunala registrations are requirements for Necrozma’s corresponding form items. Cosmog starts at zero friendship in the reviewed rule, so simply importing its familiar main-series evolution levels gives the wrong instructions. The base form’s Power Spot passive and egg moves should also be distinguished from the abilities of its eventual evolutions.
