How this affects a run
Badlands contains Ground and Rock families such as Diglett, Geodude, Rhyhorn, and Drilbur. Its weather pool includes Sandstorm, so route planning should consider the party’s ability to handle weather alongside the species you want. The encounter list combines several rarity and time-of-day pools; it is not a list of equally likely rolls.
The reviewed connection list names Desert and Mountain as exits. Older route notes describe a Badlands–Mountain–Wasteland cycle; the direct implementation also retains Desert, so the Mountain leg must not be presented as a guaranteed exit on every visit. Use the complete outgoing list rather than interpreting a useful farming cycle as the only path.
