Starter select
On the starter screen the same wiki page lists R for shiny, F for form, G for gender, E for ability, N for nature, V for Tera type, and C for the filter. I am not adding touch gestures. The public controls page does not print a mobile map, so the phone section stays on mobile play.
Icons people search for
- No Poké Ball icon: that exact evolution has never been caught or hatched.
- Dark ball: the species is owned, but not this ability, gender, form, or shiny.
- Bright ball: that combination is owned.
- Purple border: Pokérus, which gives 1.5× experience. See Pokérus.
- Blue-purple icon: hidden ability. Heart: Partner Pikachu or Eevee.
“Switch” in search usually means the battle setting, not a Nintendo console. The settings page is where the battle style lives. There is no Switch-hardware release to send you to.
Questions
What does the purple border mean?
Pokérus. The mechanics page says the holder gains 1.5× experience. Five starters are marked each day at 00:00 UTC.
Do I need a ROM?
The public game page loads in the browser. I have not found an official ROM requirement on pokerogue.net.
