Form items stay out of the pool until you hold the matching band. Mega Bracelet first, then stones. Dynamax Band first, then Max Mushrooms.

G-Max forms in this game ship their own base stats, ability, and sometimes typing. Mega, G-Max, Primal, and Ultra Necrozma cannot Terastallize. A form does not drop when you switch out or when turns pass. You clear it from the Check Team menu. Max Mushrooms is the item page for the G-Max trigger.
Questions
Why are Max Mushrooms not appearing?
The forms page says they enter the pool only after the Dynamax Band.
Can a Mega Terastallize?
No. Mega, G-Max, Primal, and Ultra Necrozma are excluded.
