How this affects a run

Flame Orb burns an otherwise status-free holder at the end of a turn. Its value depends on the rest of the build: the reviewed pool checks interactions such as Guts, Flare Boost, Facade, and status-transfer moves. A burn is still a status condition, so the item is not a general upgrade for every attacker.

Its ordinary rarity is Ultra and the documented stack limit is one. The weight can be zero or ten depending on eligible party members and their moves or abilities. That conditional weight explains why a player can see very different offerings between teams. Flame Orb and Toxic Orb compete in these eligibility checks, including whether potential recipients already hold one of the two items.
