How this affects a run
Toxic Orb badly poisons an otherwise status-free holder at the end of the turn. Poison Heal, Guts, Quick Feet, and related interactions are reasons a build may deliberately want that condition. The item is not a universal defensive reward; its purpose depends on an ability or move that makes use of the status.
The Ultra-tier pool uses a conditional weight of zero or ten and a one-item stack limit in the reviewed record. Facade and status-transfer moves are among the conditions that can make the item eligible. Toxic Orb competes with Flame Orb in the pool logic, including checks for eligible party members already carrying either orb. A weight of ten should not be rewritten as a ten-percent encounter chance.
