The wiki settings page lists game speed, animations, and display options. Game speed is the + and − keys on the controls page. Turning animations down is the in-game lever. A browser’s hardware-acceleration checkbox is outside the game, and I do not have a measured frame-time to promise.
“Slow in the UK” and “slow on a MacBook” are search phrases, not a published latency table. I leave the milliseconds blank.
Questions
How do I speed the game up?
The + key, from the controls page. That changes the game’s own speed, not your CPU.
Is hardware acceleration required?
I have no benchmark that says so. It is a browser setting you can try, and it is not a patch note.
