How this affects a run

Accepting Dark Deal exchanges a random party member for a battle against a Legendary and awards five Rogue Balls. The lost party member is the cost of taking the offer, so the catch opportunity should not be described as a free extra Legendary. Refusing leaves without the reward.

The reviewed cost distribution is thirty-five percent for cost six, fifty for seven, ten for eight, and five for nine. Those are selection weights among the eligible Legendary pool, not catch rates. Ultra Beasts, Paradox species, Mythicals, and Eternatus are excluded. The encounter also has party and challenge restrictions, which matter before applying the advertised reward to a particular run.
